The KrakenTape.com and Le Mark Group team receives their official ‘thank you’ from the RNLI for raising £5,934.00 in support of the RNLI.
Le Mark & KrakenTape.com Managing Director Stuart Gibbons welcomed Mark Spruce from the RNLI and received their official thanks on behalf of the entire staff of Le Mark. “Despite difficult trading conditions for many companies, Le Mark continued to grow and expand their workforce during 2010” stated Stuart Gibbons. “We felt that as an established company blessed with staff originating from different parts of the world, who all showed excellent social awareness, we wanted to help those less fortunate in some way.”
The RNLI was chosen as the nominated charity for Le Mark to support in 2009/10. As the volunteer guardians of the sea around our shores, and as proved during 2009 when heaviest rainfall ever recorded in Britain flooded the town of Cockermouth, Cumbria, now also for our inland waterways.
Mark Spruce was extremely appreciative of what Le Mark had contributed and kindly extended an invitation to the team to visit a Life Boat station of their choice to see and meet the crew in person. “We plan to make this a summer visit” commented Stuart Gibbons “and opened the opportunity for every one of the team that would like to come along to get ‘up close and personal’ with a RNLI rescue crew. I am very proud of every one that worked to achieve this excellent figure and I know that it will definitely be put to extremely good use”
The company raised the money by committing a percentage of their net profit to the RNLI. This way every person in every department contributed through their own individual efforts to make a definite difference to the overall sum raised.
The picture shows members of the Le Mark Team in front of the company’s recently redesigned ‘hands in the air’ logo that will now sport the legend “Together we make it happen.” This initiative has proved that, with the right team, anything is possible.
